Xguests produces information about running Xen guests in many parseable formats, such as PHP, XML, Bash, Scrape-able text and CSV.

Xguests is designed to be called by shell scripts (or control panels) of any kind. Rather than convert formats, i.e. xml to php, just include the output of xguests in your script to know what you need to know about running xen guests.

Xguests uses libxenstat, not the xen API and will work on nearly every setup.
