File::AptFetch is a Perl interface onto APT's methods (executables that do actual on-site and off-site transfers). Namely file:, copy:, ftp:, http:, rsync:, cdrom:. Some of them need special treating, but all of them are covered by simple API. Unknown (yet) methods would need a bit crossed fingers (just to be honest).
That's pity F::AF is limited to Debian based systems, but I need it for another project (this one "isn't ready for desktop yet" (tm), and it's in this state because of absence of F::AF). Honestly, I could make it internal, but I really would like to have F::AF to be standalone.
